Learn More About Michelle
Michelle began her professional journey as a school counselor for the Los Angeles Unified School District (2000–2005), where she focused on supporting low-income populations and helping students overcome attendance barriers. Driven by a heart for community, she also worked with at-risk teen mothers at Community’s Child, empowering them with the counseling and life skills needed to truly thrive. Michelle later transitioned into private practice, where she spent eight successful years in Southern California before relocating to Texas when her husband’s career with Toyota Financial Services brought their family to the area.
With over 15 years of private practice experience across California and Texas, Michelle has developed a deep passion for counseling. She is dedicated to providing a secure, nurturing space where clients can safely process life’s complex challenges. She has a natural ability to build rapport with women and teenagers, alongside a specialized talent for guiding couples past emotional barriers toward mutual understanding. While facilitating tangible, lasting change in these relationships requires exceptional skill, it is precisely what Michelle does best. Today, she loves working alongside teens, couples, new mothers, and individuals as they navigate their unique healing journeys.
Alongside her professional dedication, Michelle has been happily married for 26 years and takes immense joy in raising her four children. She prides herself on being deeply present in her children’s daily lives, actively guiding them through life’s milestones and relationships. Michelle’s faith is the cornerstone of her life. For clients who desire spiritual guidance, she integrates biblical principles with psychological insight, offering a strengths-based, faith-focused approach to therapy.

Teen Counseling
Teenage counseling is essential because it provides a non-judgmental space for teens to address emotional and mental health challenges, peer and academic pressure, develop healthy coping mechanisms, build self esteem and improve communication.
The benefits to counseling for teens are numerous and include increased self awareness, emotional regulation, improved mental health, stress management, reduction of anxiety and depression, fostering a sense of well-being and resilience for a healthier future.
Postpartum & Motherhood Support
A mother’s mental health can affect the entire family environment. Navigating the physical and emotional challenges of motherhood is no small task.
Therapy can reduce feelings of isolation and loneliness and provide a sense of connection. Increasing support systems can help foster a supportive atmosphere at home where a mother can thrive and grow in this immensely important, yet demanding role.
Couples Counseling
Connection is so important to a healthy relationship. By fostering greater connection, couples can rediscover intimacy, both physically and emotionally. Learning to express thoughts and feelings in a safe space without judgement ensures that each partner feels heard and understood.
Developing healthier ways of interacting is essential to improve relationship dynamics. Couples counseling can be a useful tool to equip couples to navigate parenting challenges, family dynamics, grief, infidelity, communication problems, conflict and assists them in aligning life goals.
When both partners are committed to growth, couples counseling can provide many benefits including gaining a deeper understanding of relationship dynamics, improved communication, enhanced emotional connection and physical intimacy, conflict resolution and personal growth.
